Why you should use 2FA for Heroku?

Heroku is a cloud platform that allows developers to build, run, and scale applications. With Heroku, developers can focus on their code and not worry about infrastructure. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Developers need to ensure that their applications are secure and protected from unauthorized access.

One way to do this is by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on their Heroku accounts. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to the login process by requiring a second factor, such as a code generated by an app like our Authenticator, in addition to the password. This makes it much harder for attackers to gain access to your account, even if they have your password.

Enabling 2FA on your Heroku account is easy and only takes a few minutes. Simply download our Authenticator app, scan the QR code provided by Heroku, and enter the code generated by the app. Once enabled, you'll need to enter the code every time you log in to your Heroku account.

In addition to enabling 2FA, there are other security and privacy tips that developers should follow when using Heroku. For example, they should ensure that their applications are using secure protocols like HTTPS and that they are regularly updating their dependencies to patch any security vulnerabilities.

By taking these steps, developers can ensure that their applications are secure and protected from unauthorized access. So if you're a Heroku user, be sure to enable 2FA on your account and follow these security and privacy tips to keep your applications safe.
