Why you should use 2FA for University of Pennsylvania?

The University of Pennsylvania takes security seriously, and so should you. By enabling 2-factor authentication (2FA) on your PennKey account, you can add an extra layer of protection to your personal information and prevent unauthorized access.

With 2FA, you'll need to provide a second form of identification, such as a code generated by our Authenticator app, in addition to your password. This means that even if someone manages to steal your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second factor.

Our Authenticator app is a secure and convenient way to store your 2FA codes. It uses industry-standard encryption to keep your codes safe, and you can easily back up and restore your codes if you switch devices.

In addition to enabling 2FA, there are other steps you can take to protect your privacy and security online. Make sure to use strong, unique passwords for each of your accounts, and avoid using public Wi-Fi networks for sensitive activities like online banking.
