In the University of Waterloo account settings, locate the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or 2-Step Verification option.

Choose the option to set up 2FA and select the Authenticator App as your preferred method.

Scan the QR code displayed on your University of Waterloo account using the Authenticator App. This step will link the app to your University of Waterloo account.

The Authenticator App will generate a time-based one-time password (TOTP) for your University of Waterloo account. Enter this code into the designated field on the University of Waterloo website to verify the setup.
