Why you should use 2FA for Virginia Tech?

Virginia Tech is a leading educational institution that values the security and privacy of its students, faculty, and staff. One way to enhance the security of your Virginia Tech account is by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).

2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of authentication, such as a code generated by an app like our Authenticator app. This means that even if someone has your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second factor.

Enabling 2FA is quick and easy, and it can help protect your personal information from hackers and cybercriminals. It's especially important if you use your Virginia Tech account to access sensitive information or if you store personal data on the platform.

Our Authenticator app is a great option for Virginia Tech users who want to enable 2FA. It's easy to use and provides an extra layer of security for your account. Plus, our app is designed with privacy in mind, so you can trust that your information is safe and secure.

In addition to enabling 2FA, there are other steps you can take to enhance the security of your Virginia Tech account. Be sure to use a strong, unique password and avoid using public Wi-Fi when accessing your account. And always be cautious when clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources.
